"2520 years"

Consider this possibility for the important 2520 year span of time...

In 745 BC the tribes of Gad, Reuben, and 1/2 Manasseh were taken into captivity by Assyria.

2520 years later brings us to 1776 (add 1 year for 1BC/1AD).

July 4, 1776 should ring a bell for all.  The 13 colonies, reminiscent of the 13 tribes of Israel, became a nation which has since grown into the most powerful and blessed nation in history.

Consider our national symbols.  Our Great Seal is encoded with the symbols of Israel.  Our national symbol and bird is the Eagle, and this should make one think of how God describes Himself as such.  Our money is all stamped with "In God We Trust", and this nation was established under God.

721 is when Samaria fell to the Assyrians, and we might think of Ephraim here.  2520 years later brings us within a day of Jan 1, 1801 when Britain became a commonwealth.

Those who study the Lost Tribes generally (not always) agree that the USA has the Manasseh characteristics and blessing from Gen. 49, and the UK has the characteristics and blessing of Ephraim.  The USA is unusual in that it is believed to the the re-gathering of all 13 tribes of Israel.

This July 4, the USA will be 231 years old.  I am not a numbers person but am interested a little bit about this number 231.  If you add or multiply it's digits you get the number 6 which is the first perfect number.  It's factors are interesting also, 3, 7, 11, 21, 33, 77.  If 1 is considered to be a factor, then it's factors would add up to 153, another interesting number.  Unfortunately, that's about as far as my non-math mind can go with this.

For those of you with eyes to see and ears to hear, if you can grasp the idea of the Lost Tribes being real and alive and well, the Bible will open up to you as never before.  Now, it was God Himself who blinded Israel in part, so it's understandable that many simply cannot grasp this important concept.  However, we can assume that God will sooner or later remove that blindness and I believe that time is fast approaching.  Through modern day technology and spread of information, it is coming to light.  And there are tons of information on this easily available to anyone interested.

Linda S...I do appreciate your efforts on this site to open eyes and hearts.

As previously posted, this year brings several other benchmark years together...

490 since the reformation began, giving the church an opportunity to witness to the ends of the earth, which has been accomplished.

It's 400 years from the founding of Jamestown where our fathers planted the first cross in the new world.  I am not certain though how this may relate.

It's 40 years since the important 6 day war of 1967 in Israel.

I know that some say it's 59 years (same day as the founding of Jamestown, May 14) since Israel became a nation.  However, it's been 60 years since the UN declaration to establish Israel as a nation and the Knesset was set up in 1947 also.  60 seems to work better, as perhaps a generation than 59 does, at least it's a round number.

If this convergence of years ending in 2007 is meaningful, then 231 ought to have some significance also.  But I will have to leave that to any interested numbers sort of people here.

God Bless
