"A great witness to a huge
worldwide audience"
Dear friends:
This year's Super Bowl was a great witness for Christ to the world in one of
the most-watched sports events in history. May God be praised!
In earlier messages I mentioned the faith and public professions of the two
opposing coaches. This morning, ministry friend Wayne Coleman sent me
the following:

This certainly reaffirms your February 2nd email.... I assume
that you probably watched the Lombardi Trophy presentation to (Indianapolis)
Colts owner Jim Irsay. If not, see my link below. When he received the trophy
he said that "we're giving it all to God again because that's what got
us here ... sticking together and believing that we could, and I know God has
looked after us on this journey and bonded us into such a tight family."
The the interview turned to Coach Tony Dungey who was asked about the social
significance of being the first black coach to win the Super Bowl.
Dungey responded saying, "I'll tell you what. I'm
proud to be representing African-American coaches, to be the first African-American
to win this. It means an awful lot to our country. But again, more than anything,
I've said it before, Lovie Smith and I, not only the first two African-Americans,
but Christian coaches showing that you can win doing it the Lord's way. And
we're more proud of that."
WorldNetDaily had a great article on this at
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54098 and I have
a three minute video of both men's comments at

if you want.
