"More angel singing"

Dear friends:

Another reader, Wayne Warmack of Greater Works Ministries, has reported to me even more angel singing.  Below is his message, forwarded by permission.  I believe it will bless you, as well as confirm the previous reports.

Jim,

I am an avid collector of 1990's Howard-Browne revival videos.  I have the Lakeland "angels singing" video, and have had the wonderful good fortune of making the acquaintance of 6 people who were at that Lakeland meeting about 1993.  I have encountered these at various times, at various fellowships, in various cities over the years. I attended 30 of the Howard-Browne meetings during that sterling decade of revival, mostly in Tulsa, Shreveport, and Joplin MO, but I was not at that one. After all this time, "the night the angels sang in Lakeland" remains a favorite revival history topic among radical believers everywhere. Only one of those people whom I met was unimpressed and said he didn't hear anything unusual that night, but the other five become nearly rapturous when they talk about it, and they say that not only did they hear thousands of non-human voices in perfect harmony in the air over their heads, but they also heard myriad string and brass instruments mixed with them.  I have heard this said by all 5 of those people, and as far as I know, they do not know each other.  One of them is the pastor of a large charismatic church in Russelville Arkansas.

As for the video of that Lakeland meeting, it's called "The Realms Of God", and it should still be available from the ministry's online bookstore at http://www.revival.com  I have screened that video many times for groups of people, and there is such glorious power on it that people often fall out of their chairs while watching it, usually sobbing and weeping.  It's no light thing!

The angel-voices incident in which Sandy and I were involved happened last April at a lakeside retreat center near Marianna, Florida.  We had been invited by our old friend Charlene Gates of Messianic Encounter Ministries ( GatesMEM@earthlink.net) to lead the worship and to minister to the sick at a planned Passover conference to be held Passover Friday and Saturday, 2006. Sandy and I sing together while I play a small amplified harp which has 36 strings. The all-day worship and Passover seder on Friday, and then Saturday morning's meeting were very good, but relatively uneventful except for some healing manifestations, for which we were thankful.  Some of us came back for the final gathering on Saturday evening and began to worship the Lord in song.  By that time, many of the Passover congregants had returned home to get ready for their regular Sunday church activities, some of them considerable distances away, so there were only about 20 or so gathered there on Saturday evening. We had done about 1/2 dozen songs and then went into "I Exalt Thee."  At some point during the first time through that well-known Scripture song, I began to distinctly hear wordless voices in perfect harmony with us, that were clearly not coming from me or Sandy, or the other 20 or so people present in the room. They sort of drifted in and out of my hearing while I struggled to maintain my composure and continue the song. I say "struggled", because I desperately wanted to stop and listen to them, and also to ask Sandy "Are you hearing that too???"  But I resisted the urge to do that and pressed on, hoping very much that it would continue, and knowing that it probably wouldn't if we quit singing. We sang that song maybe three or four times, with those incredible voices sort of drifting in and out of our hearing.  When I could hear them, they were there strong, and I had the distinct feeling of being "somewhere else" that I didn't want to come back from! Later, much to my joyful relief, my Sandy asked me if I had heard them!  The next morning we met with some of the congregants for breakfast before we were to start driving back up to Arkansas, and they all said they heard them!  Between finishing the Saturday evening worship and leaving for the evening, however, the Lord was moving so powerfully in healing and other gifts that nobody talked about it yet. If you've ever heard that sound, it leaves you a different person than when you came in.  I can't describe it.  There's just no way to describe it.  It is definitely heard with more than just the physical ears.
