There have been two Holy Temples in Jerusalem. The First Temple was built by King Solomon 480 years after the Exodus from Egypt.  It stood for 410 years and then was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar and the armies of Babylon.  70 years later, the Second Temple was built by Ezra and Zerubavel with the support of King Darius of Persia.  It stood 332 years, then was removed and rebuilt by Herod.  Herod’s Temple stood for 80 years before it was destroyed by Rome in the year 70 C.E.

A Third Temple is prophesied in the Book of Ezekiel.  This Temple will be greater than the first two. The Third Temple will reveal the Living God to all mankind and bring peace and healing to the world. The Kabbalah (Likutei Torah,Yechezkel) teaches that the Third Temple will be the tikkun (complete rectification) for the sin of Cain and Abel. Through this rectification, the consciousness of the world will be changed.  Love and brotherhood will reign supreme and the knowledge of God will fill the world as water covers the seas.  The Third Temple is the seal of the Messianic Era.

The Second Temple’s Mizbeyach (Sacrificial Altar) was built and used prior to the actual construction of the Second Temple.  Similarly, a Third Temple World can be realized prior to the construction of the Third Temple.  By study and contemplation of the design of the Third Temple in the Book of Ezekiel, we can actually ‘go there’ and see the Living God, and transform ourselves and the world around us.   Third Temple World.com has been established to provide tools to accelerate this process.
