"To: Bonnie Gaunt re Ezekiel 4"

Bonnie: I follow the reasoning relating 390 X 7 = 2730 years. From 722BC this would end in 2009AD if we were using regular calendar years. Is it not more likely that Ezekiel (same as Daniel) would be using the biblical prophetic year of 360 days? That would knock about 40 years off the end date and get to 1969AD.
I can follow the reasoning behind the judgment date starting in 722AD for the northern kingdom. However using the same logic would involve using 606BC or 586BC for Judah, when the Babylonians showed up, first to destroy the country, then returned to destroy the city of Jerusalem. Adding 280 calendar years (or the biblical year parallel) does not seem to get anywhere. However I cannot understand why it would make sense starting with the "consolidation" of the kingdom under David. Do you have evidence that this even happened in 1002BC?

I do agree that time is getting very short!!! 40 years from June 1967 comes up very soon. I see a very interesting parallel between ancient Israel refusing to enter and "possess" the Land, and waiting for God's providence to the following generation, with the modern situation in which Israel was GIVEN the Land in 1967 and still refuses to "possess" it. A new generation may well see the direct involvement of God SHAKING the Land shortly. Woe to Gog or anyone who happens to impose a "settlement" to divide this Land....be it Russian hordes on horseback as is commonly believed OR American/NATO peacekeepers sent in to implement a new Palestinian state. Hold on for the ride!!!
