God's greatests blessings often come costumed as disasters. Any doubters need to do nothing more than ascend the hill of Calvary
 
Jerusalem's collective opinion of that dark Friday 2,000 years ago was this : Jesus is finished. What other conclusion made sense? The religious leaders had turned him in. Rome had refused to bail him out. His followers had tucked their tails and scattered
 
He was nailed to a wooden Cross and left to die, which he did. They silenced his lips, sealed his tomb, and, as any priest would have told you back then, Jesus is history. Three years of power and promises are decomposing in a borrowed grave. Search the crucifixion sky for one ray of hope, and you won't find it
 
Such was the view of the disciples , the opinion of his friends,  the outlook of his enemies, the general thoughts of all of Jewish Jerusalem that day
 
But God is not surprised. His plan is right on schedule. Even in death, Christ is still the King, the King over his own crucifixion. And King he was, for three days later, early on Sunday morning, his tomb was empty
 
Just as Jesus promised, he rose from the dead and is alive today. He is the King of the Universe, Savior of the entire human race and friend to every Christian believer. Yes there are blessings in the darkness. There can be heaven-sent blessings in any trial or tribulation. Just turn to Jesus Christ when your life turns from day to night, and He will be there to guide you back into the Light !!!
