I have a question for you serious Bible detectives. Do the Scriptures reveal what day of which month that Elijah ascended into heaven? Can it be determined based upon the decription of his encounter with the prophets of Baal and his journey later when exactly this would have taken place? I have an idea that he may have ascended exactly on Ascension Day, but no biblical proof of that. Do the Jewish traditions even speculate on a particular date? If anyone can shed light on this mystery I would appreciate it. Another mystery one could pursue is when Enoch went up, as it could be the same day.
