It was an amazing thing to see. What's really strange is that the sun was
just starting to rise and the sky in that immediate area was a beautiful
shade of pinkish/purple with the single large column of light going right
down the middle of it, the strange part is the fact that the sun was never
really seen all day, it was very dreary and overcast all day long. The only
time the "sun" was seen all day was at that time!!  Very bizarre.

Another "strange" thing that happened exactly one week prior to this was
that while I was at work I heard a very long,loud, monotone noise.  I work
at a busy courthouse and there are cell phones going off all the time and at
first I thought it was someones phone, but I knew immediately that it wasn't
a cell phone, then I thought it was some kind of fire alarm drill, and again
I knew immediately that it wasn't a fire alarm, then as I sat listening to
it more closely I realized  that it was a familiar sound and immediately
knew that it sounded like a very long shofar blast.  I cannot begin to tell
you how it affected me.  It took everything within me to NOT drop down on my
knees immediately. I just sat at my desk and bowed my head and prayed, HARD,
for myself, my loved ones, my family.  I thought, "this is it!" and
immediately i thought "am I ready? is my family ready?" I like to think that
I/we are, but I've got to tell you, at that moment I did some very deep soul
searching. It was a very humbling experience and I believe it was a
forewarning, perhaps a last call, to get ourselves prepared.  Then exactly
one week later I saw this column of light.  The Lord has certainly gotten my
attention!!
