San Jacinto Fault Zone Seismic Alert is Issued: Southern California Region
on: Monday night at 09:27:12 PM

Hello all:
A Seismic Alert is issued for the San Jacinto Fault Zone in Southern California It's based upon my analysis of the most recent spectrograms. At 14:17 UTC I detected a single high amplitude infrasonic scalar pulsation, which was associated with a micro quake located near Ocotillo Wells and Borrego Springs, CA along the Coyote Creek Fault. Based upon the historic record of earthquakes in the Borrego Valley region, It's likely that a moderate to strong magnitude earthquake will occur there within a short period of time. The amplitude of the peak fundamental frequency was driven extremely low to 0.18 Hz (-60.03 dBv) and was even more significant than the 0.59 Hz (-66.74 dBv), which was measured tonight for the Gulf of California's crustal stress point. The entire Southern California region should now be at the seismic advisory level. Previous stress points have at times stepped over to an adjacent fault prior to a moderate to major rupture. This precursor appears to be related to the second harmonic for the Gulf of California, whose fundamental harmonic finally gave way into a major seismic swarm from M4.3 to M5.9 during the past week. The best thing you can do is to be prepared, and observe your pets for any signs of further distress. There may not be any further precursors, or warnings left to give you. Since both fundamental (M5.9) and third harmonics (M5.4) were seismically active within the past 48 hours, I assume that the second harmonic is also capable of doing the same within Southern California. Also, observable is an increase in the intensity of the fundamental harmonic frequency, which occurred in the hours just prior to the M5.4 near Ferndale, CA.
