"...For airstrikes to succeed, surprise is necessary. Iran is not going to be surprised if its expecting an attack. It's going to expect an attack if there cotinues to be inflammatory rhetoric coming from the Bush Administration. Hence, the White House would employ a ratcheting down of rhetoric, especially once all the military assets are in place. This would be followed by a "lull" in comments about Iran. At some point during the lull, when Iran was least expecting it, the President would order an attack, out of the blue. Now, this is what I was told would be the likely scenario by my sources.
