"Re: Six Days Then... - Answer"
6000 Year
Theory: Probem and Solution
I,
too, believe in the theory of six millennial days alotted to man to rule
himself as prophesied by the six days of creation/week, followed by the
7th day on which God ceased which later was called the Sabbath to picture
the Millennium. Jesus said all the Torah would be fulfilled which
already included Passover day on which he died and no doubt includes the
six work days and Sabbath day commanded along with Passover in Levitcus
23.
The
thing is, there are no gaps between each day or hours in the work week
that we do not count. So it makes me nervous when some people start trying
to make things fit by adding subjective exception rules for counting the
6000 years that are not found anywhere (such as one who emailed me recently),
including determining what year to start the count in off of Jesus' life
(as I saw in a post here).
Now,
Adam, according to Bible chronology, was created around 4000 years before
Messiah (perhaps exactly 4000) who without a doubt came over 2000 years
ago now, meaning we are past the 6000 years from creation. Does this
kill the 6000 year timeline? What's the answer to this dilemma of not
seeing the Millennium yet and can we know for sure when the Millennia
will come off the 6000 year timeline?
I
wrote this article to answer these questions:
