Howard did
not believe in life after death, but when his body died in a hospital in
Paris, he awakened and thought he was dreaming. People called him out of
his room and down the hospital hallway which was becoming darker. Howard
Storm was on his way down to Sheol.
He nearly waited
too long. He became surrounded by the demons who appeared and acted like
friendly people, but who soon surrounded him and became cruel and were
having fun assaulting him physically and tormenting him mentally. They
were playing terrible games with him.. We must remember here that this
is all from a man who did not believe in God or Satan, Heaven or Hell.
Howard heard
the words, “Pray to God.” He resisted. He heard “Pray to God” again. He
thought that he didn’t know how to pray, not even what words to use. He
heard “Pray to God” a third time. He did pray. Not very well, but he did.
Howard Storm’s
own words: “To my amazement, the cruel merciless beings…were incited to
rage by my ragged prayer. …They screamed at me, ‘There is no God! Who do
you think you’re talking to? Nobody can hear you. …But at the same time
they were backing away. …I realized that saying things about God was actually
driving them away.”

ABOUT THIS:
Please consider
now that salvation in it’s simplest form in The Bible is Acts
2:21 “…whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved”
and Acts 16:31 “…Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved…”
Regardless
of our own theology (personal beliefs about God), whatever The Bible
says is true, not what we have been taught by other people. Acts twice
says (1.) Howard’s body could die while Howard was still unsaved and (2.)
Howard could be on his way down and then come to believe in Jesus and (3.)
Howard could still be saved. He is the first example of someone who went
the wrong way and came back. BEWARE! This is very, very rare. Don’t think
it will happen to you if you are unsaved when your body dies. More about
