"Watchman Nee, the release of the spirit"

I appreciate your concern Kay.

Watchman Nee was such a powerful force for Christ in China that the Chinese
communists chopped off his hands and cut out his tongue. He was martryred
for Christ. When a christian receives no opposition you might ask, are they
representing Christ at all?

I don't want to discount the concern over the cult problem. There are many
cults. There are many christian organizations who started out very
powerfully and were spirit filled that are now dead. I realize that some of
Watchman Nee's later writings drifted a bit. This is no reason to discount
all of his writings. I wrote an article based on what I feel the Holy Spirit
put on my heart.

We have to be careful when we use the word cult because it would depend on
who is making that statement. For example there are popular radio hosts
today that would call anything pentecostal a cult. Anything that smacks of
gifts of the spirit are suspicious, yet the first church was our example of
spirit filled living.

Hopefuly we are not here just to regergitate news items and someone else's
writings. The Holy Spirit is TRYING to speak and live through us all. He
sometimes keeps us awake at night and sometimes gives us dreams of warnings.
He does not want us to be fake Christians, ones who professes Christ yet
obviously do not walk his walk. This is why I appreciate writings like
Watchman Nee and Eric Bonhaufer. People who are sensitive to the Holy Spirit
are not afraid to show their innermost feelings and to acknowledge any
hypocracy. For Christians to truely walk in the spirit takes uttermost
honesty even to the point of personal pain.

I and others write these sort of things not only to help ourselves but for
others who are struggleing with the same issues.
