Cartoon Madness: What (Almost) EVERYONE is Missing: It is ALL about imposing Islamic doctrine on free societies !
By now, most of you have probably read or heard about cartoons that are offensive to Islam that are causing a worldwide furor. Quite possibly, many of you are wondering what the fuss is all about. Here is a simple summary of the situation, but most importantly, we will include an important fact that EVERYONE HAS FAILED TO ADDRESS.
INCIDENT SUMMARY In September 2005, a newspaper in Denmark (Jyllands-Posten) ran a series of 12 cartoons that varied in nature, although most were less than flattering to Islam. The most commonly touted panel depicts an image of Mohammad wearing a turban in the shape of a bomb with a lit fuse. There were some regional protests, but the situation was soon forgotten. Then on January 10, 2006, an evangelical newspaper in Norway, the Magazinet, reprinted the cartoons. Within days, various other publications published the cartoons, and Muslim anger grew. Because they were republished without apology (both initial publications cited freedom of expression), Muslims quickly became incensed and began violent protests throughout the Middle East and Europe – and continue today.
THE DEFENSE OF THE CARTOONS
It has been a standard response by the publications and news entities who have published the cartoons that “no religious dogma can impose itself on a democratic and secular society.” In other words, no religion can restrict freedom of the press in a free society.
WHAT THE WEST IS MISSING
It is not just a matter of taste (good or bad), and it has little to do with whether the cartoons are offensive. It has EVERYTHING to do with the tenet of Islam that states that it is blasphemous to make ANY images of Mohammad (out of “concern that such images could lead to idolatry”), and that the creation and publication of such images is punishable by death. And therein lies the problem. All of Islam, including the individuals and groups labeled as “moderate,” have a “zero tolerance policy” for blasphemy – which can be a simple drawing of Mohammad, even if it done without ill intent. In the matter of the cartoons in question, Islamic leaders and organizations worldwide – including the “moderate” group CAIR – are attempting to strong-arm the press in free societies to conform to the tenets of Islam and are demanding compliance to those tenets – or face the consequences (DEATH). In the U.S., CNN has capitulated to the “requests” of Islamic leaders and refused to air or show the cartoons. It is not about offensive material.
It is ALL about imposing Islamic doctrine on free societies under the guise of “respect” for the Islamic religion while under the threat of death. Unfortunately, we have not seen anyone address this vital aspect of the story.

4 February 2006: A new Islamic video was just obtained by Northeast Intelligence Network contributor "Archangel" that promotes the boycotting of goods from Sweden, Denmark and other countries over the publication of the cartoons depicting Mohammad and Islam that have been at the center of controversy for the last few weeks.
Most disturbingly, however, the film calls for the assassination of two men responsible for their publication. Approximately two minutes into the two-and-a-half minute film, their pictures are shown as rifle sights are guided over their heads, promoting the assassination of the two men.
The video can be viewed and downloaded at this LINK.
