As we "know" its difficult to "predict" the timing of events using the Bible Codes. But I thought it would be interesting to review Michael Drosnin's "predictions" using the Codes, since he predicts something significant for 2006. In light of current events (Iran's nuclear capabilities, Hamas victory in P.A.), this code interpretation may be correct. If so, all the things that we think are important, and are consuming our daily lives with today, may turn out to be terribly UNimportant in very short order here:

Drosnin said he checked every year in the hundred years in the Bible, and only two years were clearly encoded with "World War," the years 2000 and 2006. The same two years were also encoded with "atomic holocaust."
According to Drosnin, "the year 2000 is encoded twice, but 2006 is mathematically the best match. 'Atomic holocaust' and 'World War' are encoded together. The next war, according to the code, will be fought with weapons of mass destruction the world has never seen used in battle before. World War II ended with Hiroshima, but now there are at least 50,000 nuclear weapons, from atomic artillery shells to multi-warhead ballistic missiles. Each can destroy a whole city. The whole world could be obliterated within a few hours...."
The Bible code <<<here is another website on the subject, although the author gets Armageddon mixed up with the war of Ezekiel 38&39. The war in Ezekiel is definitely nuclear, with a very precise description of radiation clean-up for 7 years after the war. Armageddon is not necessarily nuclear......Christ arrives to put a stop to it before Satan/Anti-Christ has a chance to annihilate the whole world. Both wars happen in Israel. Ezekiel's war is clearly led by Russia (Gog and Magog) and is a confederacy of Muslim nations. While the final war of Armageddon is led by the Anti-Christ bringing kings from the East, the South, the North and the West to battle in the field of Armageddon. By this time the Euphrates river has dried up, and the kings of the East (chinese) bring a great army down the Euphrates river. This will not happen in 2006. But the conditions are rapidly falling into place for the war of Ezekiel 37&38.Excerpts:...Jerusalem is the only world capital encoded with "atomic holocaust" or "World War." "...Terrorism" is also encoded with "World War." This could mean that terrorists with nuclear weapons could bring on the total destruction of the world. ...
