"OPEN Letter to Pastor Riley"

OPEN LETTER to Pastor Riley,

We cannot imagine what you and your wife are going through.

Although we can talk about dying; being there is quite another thing.

The day before your "appeal" arrived my wife (55) and I (62) were once again
discussing 'death and dying'. We too have no insurance and no retirement.
(but I am involved in two small internet businesses with the potential to provide
financial support in our 'golden years). We do not own a home but we
do have enough savings to cover burial.

However the real issue being raised is not just "How secure can we make our financial future?"
but rather "How secure are we in knowing the God will take care of us should we run out of money?"

When your appeal arrived, so did the answers to those questions:

Clearly we are to "Bear ye one anothers burdens." "Love one another." "Give and it
shall be given unto you."

Thus it is a blessing to help meet your need.

In the midst of the many sad and lonely days ahead may you feel His compassion,
sense His presence and be comforted by his touch.
