Got a question that I tend to vascillate on.  Do you guys think the 2 witnesses (I'm not so interested in WHO they might be).... but do you think they will be on earth during the FIRST PART of the tribulation, or the second part?
 
They will, of course, be here a full 1260 days. {Rev. 11:3}
 
Originally, I was just sure they'd be here during the first part -- and thus, closing out the rain from heaven for 3 1/2 full years would make it nigh impossible for crops to be raised (or farm animals to survive) ~ which would add to the worldwide famines of the 3rd seal in Rev. 6.
 
Then, I just about changed my mind & figured it'd make more sense if they are witnessing/ministering during the Great Tribulation (second half) ~ since they can turn the water into blood at will, and as often as they desire, and no mention is made of the water turning to blood during the first part of the trib.  {see also:   http://www.parentalguide.com/Documents/Bible_Prophecy/Two_witnesses.htm#2-WHEN%20WILL%20THE%20TWO%20WITNESSES%20BE%20UPON%20THE%20EARTH

Now, I'm back to the drawing table, as it makes sense to me both ways.
 
When some of you post which part of the tribulation you expect they will be here, will you please also explain why?
