"The Chosen Bride (Part 2)"
The Bride is just like Jesus - "of
His body, of His flesh, and of His bones" (Eph. 5:30). She is taken
out of the side of the second Adam just as Eve was created from the first
Adam. As the Bride remains connected to the Jesus Vine, the same
divine, life-giving blood that flows through Him flows through her.
Because of the divine blood, she is actually "made the righteousness of
God in Jesus" (2 Cor. 5:21). She is therefore without sin, because "whosoever
abideth in Him sinneth not" (1 John 3:6). She is holy as He is holy
(1 Pet. 1:16), without spot or wrinkle. The Bride is God's "workmanship
created in Christ Jesus unto good works" (Eph. 2:10). She is "a vessel
unto honor, sanctified, and ready for the Master's use, and prepared unto
every good work" (2 Tim. 2:21).
Like Jesus, the Bride is anointed with power,
filled with the Holy Ghost, and commissioned to do "greater (more) works
than" Jesus did when He walked upon the earth (John 14:12). She is
"complete in Jesus" (Col. 2:10), "and of His fulness has she received (John
1:16).
"According to His divine power hath given unto her all
things that pertain unto life and godliness" (2 Pet. 1:3). The bride
has been given "power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases,
and sent to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick" (Luke 9:1-2).
In Christ,
