"2592 and "the times of the Gentiles"

Opinions abound as to when the period known as "the times of the Gentiles" begins and ends. There is absolutely no consensus, and it is very possible to read ten different books and get ten different sets of dates. After a fair amount of study on this subject, I would like to add my conclusions to the mix.

In her book THE BIBLE'S AWESOME NUMBER CODE, Bonnie Gaunt says that the number 25920 "is prophetic of the time when 'He whose right it is' rules from David's throne" (page 178). The zero in 25290 is just a placeholder, so it can be dropped leaving the number 2592. In Isaiah 40:2, the phrase "The Heart of Jerusalem" occurs in the Hebrew text. According to Bonnie, multiplying the numeric value of the letters in the phrase "The Heart of Jerusalem" produces the number 2592. "The Heart of Jerusalem" means that "Jerusalem will be the seat of government in the Kingdom of Peace." The bottom line is that the number 2592 is closely aligned to the city of Jerusalem and its glorious future.

Counting back 2592 years from 2005 A.D. would bring us to the year 588 B.C. Sir Robert Anderson, the renowned author of "The Coming Prince," referred to the year 589/588 B.C. as the beginning of desolations for Jerusalem. On the tenth of Tevet in 588 B.C., the siege of Jerusalem began. Two years later on the ninth of Av, the food supply ran out and the siege ended. Both the city of Jerusalem and the Temple were burned, and the surviving Jews were deported to Babylon.

Counting forward from 588 B.C. to the present year of 2005 totals 2592 years. To repeat, the multiplied gematria for "the heart of Jerusalem" is 2592. But Christ is not quite ready to rule on Jerusalem's throne. There is the matter of the final 70th week of Daniel. This week of years is portrayed in Daniel 4:25 where Nebuchadnezzar dwells with the beasts of the field. Gentile power will be broken during this time, with many of the earth's rich and powerful people crying for the rocks and mountains to fall upon them and hide them from the face and wrath of the Lamb. Conversely, many others will bow the knee to King Jesus and will joyously welcome His rule in their hearts. Though the Gentiles will be the dominant nations through most of the Tribulation Period, this will still be a time of judgment for them and not part of the "times of the Gentiles."

                  To summarize:

588 B.C.     The "times of the Gentiles" begins with the
siege of Jerusalem. Though Babylon invaded
Jerusalem in 606 B.C. and many elite Jews
were deported to Babylon, the city itself
suffered minimal damage. The real assault on
Jerusalem began with the siege in 588 B.C.,
and this officially begins "the times of the
                  Gentiles."

2005 A.D.   The times of the Gentiles" ends?
                  588 B.C. to 1 A.D. = 588 years. No zero year.
                  1 A.D. to 2005 A.D. = 2004 years.
                  588 + 2004 = 2592 years

2012 A.D.   Christ begins His reign in Jerusalem?
The seven year Tribulation Period may well
be a parenthesis separating the end of the
"times of the Gentiles" and the start of the
Millennium. If 2005 begins this time of
holocaust, then Jerusalem will indeed be
"the seat of government in the Kingdom of
Peace" in 2012,  just as the number 2592
suggests. And our Lord shall reign forever and
ever, and His Kingdom shall have no end.

                  Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
