"The Name"
Dear Tom, John and Five doves,
i do not wish to enter into controversy(party spirit)
and debate with those more learned than myself, i wish to encourage unity,
love and worship in Him and with Him.
So to explain, firstly if a brother or sister wishes
to uses the appelation Jesus(or Iesous or Joshua or Yehoshua) i have no
problem, i will fellowship and woship with them in love and joy.
The reason i prefer using Yah/shua is that whatever way
one looks at it the first part of the Lords Name as man is His Name as
God(YHVH/YHWH), and that Yah also means YHVH and is an acceptable form
of His name is revealed by Ps68 v4 for those who read english(for those
who have a textus receptus you will find many more occurences of Yah hidden
under the title 'The Lord' along with YHVH/YHWH. Phonetically in spoken
english there is no practical difference between Y/shua, Yeshua and Yah/shua.
So i use Yah in the written form(amongst other reasons)
because it is a powerful reminder of who He is, as added testimony the
word hallelujah which i write as HalleluYah has been preserved phonetically/spoken
out aloud the same in over 25 different languages.
All branches of christianity run along organisational
lines by men have problems( and phariseeism is not exclusive to the sacred
name groups, which by the way i am not a member of), i came to my realisation
of His name by studying His word and finding out that Joshua in the pentatuch
was really no different from Joshua and Jesus in the Gospels and epistles
and wondered how this could be and made a long search and study as to why.
So putting that all aside i know commend us to edify
together in Him and His unity and love and building one another up in Him
and His Faith and Body,
love and blessing in
Yah
your brother
