"Length of a Generation : Correction : Historic vs. Modern Generation"

It has been pointed out to me that the person I quoted re. the length of a Historic Generation may be inaccurate, because of the assumed timeline.  Therefore, it may not be 71+ years.  Some history buffs may have a more accurate conclusion about how long a Historic Generation is.
However, that does not change my conclusion: if WE are the "generation that will not pass away until all be fulfilled," there is not, likely, a real reason that we have to base the length of our generation on the days of Jesus, or even before.
This generation is NOW.  This is how long we live NOW.  Look at the obituaries.  Few live to age 70 (who have died of "old age.")  A few live to 70-80.  VERY FEW live beyond that.  So the Bible verse that says we can expect to live to 70/80 makes sense to me NOW.
