"ARE THE JEWS NOW PLANNING TO BUILD EZEKIEL'S TEMPLE?"

Dear John & Doves,

In answer to the question are the Jews now planning to build Ezekiel's Temple, the answer is NO.  If you read this article called HOW DO WE UNDERSTAND THE VISION OF THE FUTURE TEMPLE AS DESCRIBED IN THE BOOK OF EZEKIEL?at http://www.templeinstitute.org/future_temple.htm it shows that the Third Temple will be built using the pattern of the Second Temple, and that the present Temple Mount site is not large enough to hold Ezekiel's Temple which will be the Millenial Temple. From reading this article, it looks like they don't even need to wait for the Messiah to arrive to build the temple, or for them to help him build the temple once he arrives.

Another article at http://www.templemount.org/ezektmp.html give us the features unique to Ezekiel's Temple which have been catalogued by researcher John Schmitt, a Portland, Oregon Bible scholar, as follows:

"No wall of partition to exclude Gentiles (compare Ephesians 2:14) The Gentiles were previously welcome in the Outer Courts, but excluded from the inner courts on pain of death."(According to another article at http://bibletools.org/index.cfm/fuseaction/Def.show/RTD/ISBE/ID/6708 this is what was written on "one of the pillars which Josephus describes as having been erected upon the very barrier or middle wall of partition, to which Paul refers. "NO MAN OF ANOTHER NATION TO ENTER WITHIN THE FENCE AND ENCLOSURE ROUND THE TEMPLE, AND WHOEVER IS CAUGHT WILL HAVE HIMSELF TO BLAME THAT HIS DEATH ENSUES")
"No Court of Women (compare Galatians 3:28 which says, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus." (Outer Court and Inner Court only)"

"No Laver (see Ezekiel 36:24-27, John 15:3)"

"No Table of Shewbread (see Micah 5:4, John 6:35)"

"No Lampstand or Menorah (see Isaiah 49:6, John 8:12)"

"No Golden Altar of Incense (Zechariah 8:20-23, John 14:6)" (However, I notice that Ezekiel 41:22 shows just a wooden altar or table before the Lord instead.)

"No Veil (Isaiah 25:6-8, Matthew 27:51)"

"No Ark of the Covenant (Jeremiah 3:16, John 10:30-33)"

"Major Changes to the Altar: The sacrificial Altar will be approached by a ramp from the East. Previous altars were all approached from the South. Now there will be stairs to the altar, not a ramp as previously. The top of the altar is now described by the Hebrew word "ariel" [Isaiah 29:1] meaning "hearth of God" or "lion of God." [Rev. 5:5]."

Here is a model of the Millenial Temple at http://www.pauljab.net/temple/TemplePictures.html along with a description of different parts of the Temple, and here is a model of Herod's Temple during the times of Jesus to compare it with at http://biblia.com/bible/temp-herod.htm

I would recommend that you read the entire article called The Temple of Ezekiel at http://www.templemount.org/ezektmp.html because not only does it give the features unique to Ezekiel's Temple (the Millenial Temple) it also tells where it will be built and why. It also shows a diagram or blueprint of the temple.

God bless,
