Hi John,

I’ve been pondering all the latest exciting discussions on your site, there are two things that I think the Holy Spirit began to show me and I’m hoping the doves and especially Mr. Riley will either correct me or confirm my thoughts further. I’m looking at the “Big Picture” in prophecy.

It amazes me how there are so many messages within messages within messages in God’s work and word all in perfect harmony. It’s really astounding. Through types and shadows and now the Bible codes the word of God continually confirms itself, I am always blown away.

Without giving all the scripture reference I’m just going to write my thoughts and paraphrase the scriptures: I’m sure however that most of you know these verses: These are just my thoughts, you can take them however you wish, I am just trying to understand like anyone else and seeking God. I could very readily be way off but then again how will we ever know if we don’t ask questions and at least try to put the puzzle together. My efforts here are simply that “efforts” and my own thoughts. So here goes. . .

A parallel and another type and shadow of the rapture:

King Solomon said there is nothing new under the sun. . .whatever has happened before will happen again. .

Two thoughts:

---The resurrection of Jesus on the third day along with the captives he set free (remember the dead that rose with him) is a type and shadow of the Pre-trib rapture.

---I also think the 12 JEWISH disciples are a type and shadow of the 144,000 (12  thousand from each tribe) that will be sent out to evangelize the planet earth made up of 6 billion people during the Tribulation. You’d need a lot more that 12 to evangelize 6 billion.

As we all know, Jesus descended into the earth and set the captives free and brought them up and ascended to the Father to present his blood, I think he took the resurrected saints with Him to the Father that very day, the day He arose (the third day). . .

BUT. . . HE CAME BACK and was with the disciples for another 40 days

Jesus will again descend to the earth from Heaven and set the captives free (are you a Prisoner of Hope?, the Blessed Hope, I am) and bring us back up with him to Heaven at the pretrib. Rapture,

but will He come back to equip the Jewish 144,000 as he did the 12 disciples?

When the 12 disciples saw Jesus after He was resurrected “they hung on his every word and believed Him for they saw Him” and it was then (after Jesus’ resurrection) that the Great Commission was given. . .

Do you think this may happen again? After the first (pretrib) rapture of the church and at the beginning of the 7years of tribulation.

Will Jesus will reveal Himself to the 144,000 and will the Great Commission AGAIN be given to evangelize the world?

For how will they know whom they have pierced unless He reveals Himself?

Will He open their blind eyes?

Could it be that the blind man Jesus healed may represent National Israel?

And when He does, they will see Jesus their savior whom they pierced.

Everyone knows that during the tribulation there will be great persecution of the saints of God but this was also endured by the disciples as well. Jesus made it clear that this is what the disciples would endure in Mathew 24 “great persecution”. . .

Remember there is nothing new under the sun. . .

Also during the tribulation the great persecution will AGAIN be brought upon the saints as it was after Jesus rose from the dead.

Again, what the disciples endured is another type and shadow of things to come, for almost everyone died a martyr’s death accept for John.  I think John’s life may have another message in it.

All the healings of Jesus and the Apostles through the Holy Spirit seem to be prophetically significant, I’m hoping someone may be able to expound further on the healing Peter did through the Holy Spirit at the Gate Beautiful in Acts 3 where the cripple man was healed (remember he was 40+ years old) and crippled from birth. Who does he represent? National Israel?

more than this what Peter preached was directly to the Jews and seems to be something that would be preached DURING THE TIME OF THE TRIBULATION, . . .

remember what he preached was said after the ascension of Christ and after Pentecost when the power was received.

Peter starts in Acts 3: 12-26 emphasis is mine

“Men of Israel , why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we made this man walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the Prince of Life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which come through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Yet now, brethren, I know that you did in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ (SECOND COMING), who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, (RESTORATION OF THE TEMPLE MOUNT, JERUSALEM ETC) which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. . . .

The restoration of the Temple Mount and all things along the second coming of Christ will happen during and after the 7 year tribulation.

Could the book of Acts full of types and shadows of what is going to be happening to the Saints during the Tribulation?

Seems to fit.
