The Dead Rising First (oh, dear…..)

REV. 1: 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell

and of death.

John not only wrote down what he saw and heard of Christ’s revelation, but apparently he also acted in bit parts, such as eating a scroll, speaking with one of the elders., etc.   Well, in the opening verses of the Revelation, John heard a voice “like that of a trumpet”, and turned to see Christ in His glory, only dressed as a judge, not sitting at the right hand of the Father; in fact, He was “walking in the midst of the candlesticks”, and judging them.  When John saw Christ, as above, he “fell at his feet AS DEAD.    Then Christ touches him with His right hand, and speaks of His own resurrection.     Now, follow this, and you can all tell me I am wrong and I don’t mind.   John, then, just acted out “the dead in Christ shall rise first”, after hearing the sound of “the first trump”, that is the resurrection trumpet.   The scene for this is still on the earth, for Christ then walks amongst and judges the churches, and tells to speedily repent.  And says things like “I come quickly….repent” etc. (so there is still time to repent after the dead are raised “first”.      Do I see here that the dead in Christ do in fact rise first, and there still remain “we who are alive”.  Is this the crisis that sends the foolish virgins into a tailspin, but as Daniel says “the wise will understand” ???

But it gets better, because right after this John takes on the part of “those who are alive and remain”, and hears another voice as it were a trumpet “the last trump???)

Revelation 4: 1 - 11 - Study This Chapter

1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne

This time he sees a door open in heaven (the Philadelphians’ open door), and he is snatched up to heaven.   This would be the second trumpet of the resurrection/rapture, or Paul’s “last trump”, when “we shall ALL be changed (the resurrected and the living), “in an instant, etc.,  that is, like John,   IMMEDIATELY.

And right after that, with both the resurrected and John in heaven, the whole judgment changes from the church, to the inhabitants of the earth, including those who were not ready, and couldn’t sort themselves according to His judgment of the churches while they still had time, before we are all changed.

This would seem to follow the events of Christ’s resurrection, when He and His firstfruits offering of saints (24 elders?) were “seen”, on the earth in the city, and then He snatched them up when He left off with Mary who was clinging to Him.   Likewise, will we see the resurrected ones for awhile, and then, just like at that time, be snatched up with those resurrected ones?    As it was, so shall it be????

I don’t know about you, but if I was suddenly confronted with one or more of my dearly departed loved ones, that would certainly “wake up” this waiting virgin.  (well, not quite a virgin, but I will spiritualize this reference and quickly move on…..)

What answereth??????

To all, peace and grace………sister Arlene
