"StarWars 7, Nero and the OWR; a response to Jovial."

Greetings Joe,
As I was perusing the web, I came upon some of the latest leaked Imagery of the upcoming Star Wars movie, set to be released in December of 2015. There were a couple of things that I noticed therein. First of all, the light Sabre of the new villain Character, shaped like an upside down cross. The second was the Name of this Character; "Kylo Ren". When one reverses the order of the letters in this name, we get "Nero lyk". Nero, of course was the Roman emperor known for his first century persecution of Christians. So, if this person, is a Nero like figure, he would be persecuting the Jedi, or those who subscribe to the light side of the "force".

Here, is where I see the OWR being. Every religion has a mystical element to it. Judaism has the Kabala mysticism. Hinduism, Confucianism and Buddhism has the Qi energies, from which the concept of the "force" is derived. Islam has Sufism.  "Christianity" even has elements of Mysticism, which see the Holy Spirit as a "force" rather than God with us. All of these mystical elements strive for a higher state of consciousness. To become godlike and or pure. In the Star Wars movies, the villain pursues those who follow the Light side of the force, though  that villain is also a follower of that religion of the force. Thus the foe, is both an enemy, and a follower of the religion. In the Original Star wars saga, this translated into a form of "villain worship" with Vadar being the "real hero" in the end, restoring balance to the force.

If one Looks carefully at the creation account in Genesis, you can also see the element of darkness and light being introduced into the created order. The tree of the knowledge of Good and evil was eaten of by man, thus the fall, and the constant strife between good and evil is introduced to humanity, which he was meant not to know. Just as an aside from this, many in the churches say that man gained only the knowledge of evil when they ate of this tree, But they also gained a knowledge of good as well (You cannot have one without the other). The created order had communion with God alone, the tree of life. Thus coming to a balance or harmony between good and evil, darkness and light or Yin and Yang is not the ultimate form of redemption harmony or peace. It is the restoration of communion with God, where we act not from a knowledge of good and evil, but as a reaction to God's love for us. Paul calls this "becoming a new creation in Christ", Or the "way of Love".

Forgive me if this is a bit philosophical for you, One of the essential tenets of ethics is that the concept of virtue must always come apart from coercion, fear, self preservation, or reward. Thus if I threaten my child with a spanking if they do not clean their room, their act of cleaning their room is an act not of virtue, but of self preservation. On the other hand, if I ask them to clean their room, and they obey that request their obedience is an act of virtue (AKA; Righteousness). By the same token, if they clean their room, and do all kinds of chores around the house in order to receive a reward, they are not acting virtuously. This last one is a hard one for Christians to comprehend in our modern times. They likely will see the last child as the most virtuous. But in fact this is a form of self righteousness. This is a selfish pursuit of favor from the parents.

Thus any attempt by man to ascend to and receive the favor of God is fruitless. Mysticism, desires to ascend to that higher consciousness, True Christianity desires to return to that original created order. Where God is God, and man is man. This can only come through submission and obedience to His will. Mysticism desires to find a balance between Good and evil. True Christianity only knows one thing "Jesus Christ, and him Crucified". Virtue is a reaction of submission and obedience to the unmerited favor and Love of God.

Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, the one who serves God and the one who does not. (Mal. 3:18) Notice in this verse, that this "distinction" is invisible to us now. Notice also that it does not say Good and Evil. And then notice that via symmetry, that righteousness is equated with serving God, while wickedness with not serving him. Service requires submission.

When one tries to find a balance between good and evil, darkness and light, is when one says "good is evil and evil is good." Satan's very existence is dependent on this belief. Vadar, the villain became the hero, when he restored balance to the force. Antichrist, similarly will restore balance after lawlessness prevails. Coerced virtue is his good. Take the mark and be prosperous, do not take his mark and lose your life. The false prophet will be the church systems around the world that conform to this worldly way of thinking. The true church will be the one that is transformed by the renewing of our hearts and minds via submission to God's will, not man's.

In conclusion, much of what is going on around the world is the "mystery of lawlessness at work". Antichrist will come and restore "peace and security", and thus will be a "savior" to all creeds and religions, but he in fact is the one orchestrating the lawlessness around the world behind the shadows. The OWR are those who conform to this world system irregardless of religion. The Only ones who will stand in his way are those whose Kingdom is not of this world, thus Nero will pursue and persecute them to the ends of the earth.

12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:1-2)

God bless.
