GOVERNMENT STUPIDITY IN ACTION.......
 
When all the leaders of the US (and the World) CANNOT get the SIMPLEST things RIGHT, there is no hope!!
 
We are ALL DOOMED.....but then that doesn't come as a shock to most people any more.  I just find it absolutely HOPELESS these days.....
 
What SIMPLE things are they getting wrong?  (Let alone the BIG ones like as few below!)
 
I was thinking on these things last night on the way home and again this morning onthe drive into work...
 
GOVERNMENT STUPIDITY IN ACTION....JUST TO NAME A FEW....
 
1) Listening to an NPR piece on the radio last night.....The pollution in CHINA is so bad, it has recently affected Air Traffic....hundreds of flights cancelled around Bejing.   Hmmmm, and CHINA is EXEMPTED from the Kyoto Agreement....becuase they are a "developing country" ????   It is so bad in China, their air pollution is affecting the US now by about 5-15% of the US pollution.   I am so GLAD the Bush Administration did NOT sign the Kyoto Agreement.  Even Canada is rethinking their involvement......saying it is costing them Billions of Dollars....and they may drop out.
 
2) The US POST OFFICE!! UGH!!  NO MATTER WHAT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED BY THE POSTMASTER GENERAL OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.......NONE....I REPEAT, NONE OF THE SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY CONGRESS.....
 
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Even a 5th Grader knows they need to close low-use post offices....and CEASE Saturday Delivery....and yet, the US Congress won't do it?????????   GOSH DARN!!!!!!!
 
EVERYBODY has their own agenda......their own VESTED interest....their own reasons.....like having 35,000 more people unemplyed in an election year...etc, etc, etc,
 
3) Years after the BIG debate started on securing our border with Mexico.....WE ARE NO WHERE NEAR a good solution.  NO POLITICAL GUTS...BY ANYONE...BY ANY PARTY!!
 
4) US spending on ENTITLEMENTS????  NO CUTS !!!!   Just look to Greece for what our future looks like....and,,,,,,  NO ONE WANTS TO HAVE THEIR ENTITLEMENTS TAKEN AWAY....NO ONE WANTS TO GIVE UP ANYTHING THEY'VE ALREADY BEEN PROMISED.......
 
AGAIN......   We're DOOMED!!
 
5) When the Government DOES act??  They give $500 MILLION to a company who files for bankruptcy in 18 months.  WE'RE DOOMED!!  Nice job....and NO ONE IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE...how can that happen??  (Call me naive!!)
 
6) Then there is our US spending abroad in EGYPT, PAKISTAN, IRAQ, etc.....watch those countries TURN on us once we leave........GEEEEEZZZ!!!  That was BILLIONS WELL SPENT!!!!
 
IF THE LEADERS CAN'T GET THE SIMPLE THINGS CHANGED........IT'S OVER.....WE ARE DOOMED..... SO SAD......SO SAD......
 
And the BIG things??
1) Israel is NOT the problem......yet the world thinks they are
2) IRAN is the BIG problem....yet the world has let them get to the point of having a nuke bomb.  They should have LONG AGO put sanctions on the IRANIAN banks.  It is now, too little, too late.
3) Bailing out the bankers in the US and Europe...... ouch!!  And it ain't over yet!!!!!! Not by a LONG shot!!
 
and so on and son on.....UGH!!
 
TICK TOCK.....
 
I just want to go HOME Lord........ !!
