Good pickup Kari.  The grammar is rather clumsy. The Complete Jewish Bible and The Amplified Bible shed more light.

Jesus did not enter into a 7 year covenant and the temple sacrifices continued for some time after the crucifixion.  Jesus did however do away with the NEED for temple sacrifice.
