Hello, John and Doves,

 

And it was winter....

You might recognize that phrase as coming from the gospel according to John.

 

"And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication [=Hanukkah], and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch."  John 10:22-23

 

Guess what?  In the year 32 A.D., Hanukkah spanned the dates, December 17 to December 24 (the eighth day).

 

The first day of winter is, of course, December 21 (day 5 in 32 A.D.).
