Antichrist…Not Such a Bad Guy?
The man of sin in the flesh
Throughout history, people have had many guesses as to who the Antichrist is. So far, they’ve all been wrong. Popular guesses include popes, politicians, leaders and more. Many people assumed Hitler was the Antichrist. They were wrong. We often look to the “bad guys” and consider the possibility. The truth is, however, the Antichrist (in the beginning, anyway) will be a “good guy.”
The bible says that Lucifer was a good guy...until he by transgression fell.
The Bible teaches us that the Antichrist will be charming. How charmed would we all be with Hitler? In order to gain power, the Antichrist must also gain trust. Bad guys aren’t generally trusted. Considering all the believers that have been taught to watch for him will be gone (2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way), those left behind will not be hard to fool. Remember, he may be saying amazing things, but none of them are true. Charm, in a world obsessed with Hollywood, goes a long way.
This man is no fool. He will know exactly how to give the people what they want. The people of this time are hungry, desperate, poor and sad. The son of Satan will provide them with jobs, hope, peace and food….but not before they take the mark. Lets be honest, if you were starving, homeless and desperate, isn’t it only fair that a tattoo or chip is worn in return for his solutions?
The Antichrist will appear very Jesus-like. He will perform miracles, fix the world’s problems, create peace, and maybe even come back from the dead ( Revelation 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast). Satan is always trying to emulate Jesus, and the Antichrist will as well.
So far, does he sound all that bad? Believers always seem to look at people who have negative attributes and wonder if that could be him. To those left behind, however, he will easily win their trust.
Remember, these are the same people that turned away the one true Messiah, and will jump on the bandwagon quickly. This generation has never seen anything like the Antichrist before. His power is based on peace, although it is false. Since Jesus left, have we EVER had peace? How hard would it be to put faith in the one man who has accomplished it?
You may think it would be easy to see right through this man, but consider the people of our past that have pulled the wool over our eyes…and they were just human.
2 Thessalonians also teaches:
10And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
The bottom line is that we must stop thinking every “bad guy” introduced to us could be the AntiChrist. It could be any well-loved person this world knows. A celebrity, a politician, a humanitarian, a singer, a writer, etc, could all be him. Remember, his job is to fool you! The son of the great deceiver will surely know how to deceive. What if a well-loved actor was him? What if one of the candidates running for the 2012 elections was him? What if a well-known preacher or evangelist was him? Yes, a famous preacher or “Christian” leader may just be the Antichrist. We don’t know who he is, but we do know what to watch for. Don’t assume any longer that a hated public figure could be him…he will be far from hated. In fact, he will be worshiped and adored.
If you think you can outsmart God, you’re wrong. If you turned your back on him, he’s now given you exactly what you want. The Bible thumpers are gone, it’s just you and the son of Satan. Whatever you do, DON’T TAKE THE MARK. God will provide for you without it. If you’ve been left behind, that “good guy” will soon turn very bad. Taking the mark means there is no turning back:
Revelation 14:9-11
King James Version (KJV)
9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Finally, remember that the Antichrist will turn on you. Yes, he will seem like an upstanding man at first, but that will not last. The first 3 and 1/2 years won’t be so bad, in fact it may be blissful. At that point in time, however, Matthew 24:21 teaches: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.While he’s now made a 7 year peace agreement with the Jews,it will be broken and world-wide conflict will occur. You will not be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast. This once peaceful man will force that all still here will worship him. Oceans will be filthy, the sun will go dark, wars, famine and pestilence and diseases will be everywhere. Fire, burning, smoke, bodies of waters going dry, locusts crawling everywhere…and more disasters are still to come. During this time, you may try suicide, but it will not work. Revelation 9:6: And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
God has provided a way out for YOU
Whether you are reading this before he comes or are watching it happen, why would you choose to be part of this? If you want out, and trust God to bring you through it, drop to your knees NOW and pray for Jesus to come into your heart. No experience you’ve ever had will compare to the reign of the Antichrist. Don’t stick around to be part of it.
