I believe Christ, according to the types given in scripture, must
return (Second Advent, not the rapture) to begin a Sabbath (Shmita)
year. The scriptural reasons for this belief are given at
www.godstimeline.net in various articles and charts.

Some teach that Christ will return at Atonement of 2015, which is
after the conclusion of the Shmita year. They have Christ returning
after a Sabbath year in violation of the scriptural type of the
Sabbath.

If 70 weeks are needed for the following (see below) and they are
Sabbatical cycles ending with the Sabbatical/ Shmita year, then you
must still be IN the 70th week for their fulfillment!

Dan. 9:24-“Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy
holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins,
and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting
righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint
the most Holy”.

The above cannot be fulfilled if Christ is to return AFTER the
Sabbatical year (the 7th year) for the 70th week of Daniel is
completed on the day BEFORE Rosh Hashanah of 2015.

What did God say about the Sabbath?

Genesis 2: [1]-“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all
the host of them.
[2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and
he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3]
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it
he had rested from all his work which God created and made”.

There is the first type of the Sabbath given in scripture. It is the
last day (the 7th) and it is for rest. And when Christ returns, He
brings "rest" to Israel and the world (see Isaiah 14:7, a Second
Advent passage for certain).

What did Jesus say of this day (the 7th, the Lord's Day, the Sabbath)?

Matthew 12:8-“For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day”.

Mark 2:28-“Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath”.

Some teach that the 70th Week began with Obama's infomercial and ends
with the Second Coming occurring on Atonement of 2015. In this
scenario everything hinges upon the date of the infomercial. They MUST
show the 70th Week as beginning with this infomercial and here is the
reason why...

They are placing their hopes on Atonement 2015 because it begins the
Jubilee, forgetting that scripture (see below) declares that the
Jubilee itself is based directly upon when the Sabbatical cycle is to
begin! And the Jubilee is scripturally stated to be tied to the first
fall feast of the Lord which is Rosh Hashanah, the beginning of the
civil calendar. To ignore this scriptural fact is, in my opinion,
disingenuous.

Here is the scriptural precedent for the Jubilee…

First the Lord establishes the Sabbath/ Sabbatical cycles!

Leviticus 25
1And the LORD spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying, 2 Speak unto
the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land
which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the LORD. 3
Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy
vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof; 4 But in the seventh year
shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the LORD:
(WHY? Because the land is His! And not only Israel but also the entire
earth, for the earth is HIS FOOTSTOOL) thou shalt neither sow thy
field, nor prune thy vineyard. 5 That which groweth of its own accord
of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy
vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land. (A YEAR! A
WHOLE YEAR! NOT PART OF ONE!) 6 And the sabbath of the land shall be
meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for
thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee, 7
And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all
the increase thereof be meat.

Now the scriptures for the Jubilee…

Lev. 25:8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee,
seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years
shall be unto thee forty and nine years. 9 Then shalt thou cause the
trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month,
in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all
your land. 10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim
liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it
shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his
possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Here is also why it is a Sabbath year when the Lord returns! It is
because of the people (who are the Lord's, as servants; bond servants
to Him, etc). In the year of Jubilee they are to go out to where they
came from! See this next…

Lev. 25:40 But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be
with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubilee: 41 And then
shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and
shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his
fathers shall he return. 42 For they are my servants, which I brought
forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

The people need to be serving WITH the Lord for the entire Sabbatical
year UNTO the year of Jubilee! At least that is what scripture
declares.

Those who are placing their hope for the Second Coming on Atonement
2015 must ignore Rosh Hashanah as the true beginning of the Sabbatical
cycle and pretend that Obama’s infomercial began the 70th Week. This
is done so that their end count can come out to Atonement in 2015,
never minding that the scriptural precedent for the Jubilee is based
on the Sabbatical cycle which always begins on Rosh Hashanah per
scripture.

Rather than admit that the Sabbatical cycle began at Rosh Hashanah of
2008 (marked by the economic crash of 7-7-7 which directly points them
to the three sets of seven years of the time of Jacob's trouble) they
must make the infomercial be their starting date so it will jive with
Atonement in 2015. In their scenario there is no shortening of the
days of the time of tribulation that Christ said must occur.

But if the correct scriptural starting point is used (that of Rosh
Hashanah 2008) as the beginning of the 70th Week, then Christ returns
to begin a Sabbatical (Shmita) year at Rosh 2014, thus fulfilling His
word! The Sabbatical year of Rosh 2014- Rosh 2015 is the sabbath rest
that Jesus brings, followed by the year of Jubilee which will begin on
Atonement 2015.
