Dear Doves
I still have a very special feeling of joy and expectation about
Hanukkah!
Hanukkah means "Establishing" or "Dedication".
(
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanukkah)
Jesus walked in Salmon's porch at the feast of dedication:
And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication,
and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in
Solomon's porch [= temple hall with pillars?]. - John
10:22-23
The promise to the Church of Philadelphia also mentions
pillars:
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple
of my God... - Rev 3:12a
For a description of the pillars in Solmon's temple, I checked
the descriptions in 1 Kings 7:15 - 22 and 2 Chronicles
3:16-17. It mentions 2 pillars with specific names: Jachin and
Boaz.
The well known story
of Boaz and Ruth is a perfect picture
for Jesus and his gentile bride!
Isn't it amazing that Jachin - one of the of
the 2 pillars in Solmon's temple - means "Yah
establishes", and Hanukkah means "Establishing"
(or dedication)? And the other pillar is named Boaz, the
one who saves the gentile bride?
Don't give up on Hanukkah yet, I still think this could
very well be it! 8th fest, 8th day, 8th
candle; 888 = Jesus!
Watch & Pray!
Maranatha!
