Rene says, "God DOES often use medical assistance to help us heal."

However, God's ways are better, and safer.  The U.S. health care system may actually contribute to poor health or death.  According to Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, 250,000 deaths per year are caused by medical errors, making this the third-largest cause of death in the U.S., following heart disease and cancer.  ( http://www.naturodoc.com/library/public_health/doctors_cause_death.htm. )

Health care has become a major, multi-billion dollar industry because most people, including so-called Bible-believing Christians, do not really believe God's Word and God's many promises for healing.  They are left with second best -- man's ways, which at best are unreliable and often hazardous to your health, and even fatal.  (If you doubt, listen to TV drug commercials with their warnings and disclaimers.)   We have become a drugged culture, as many in the the pharmaceutical/medical cabal try to get everyone buying their drugs from cradle to grave, to the profit of their stockholders,

Because man rejects God's ways, health care has become a worldwide economic crisis, with whole nations teetering on bankruptcy because of its enormous and rising costs.

Rene uses the extreme example of parents who deny a child medical help while believing that God will heal them, and the child dies.  That is a rare example, and there is no mention of the millions of times parents pray for their child and the child recovers.

God's ways are always better!
