You are so very generous in your sharing...and yes, I do 'get it'.

I've tried to explain to people how my mom's death at 38 affected me...first I did the 'just let me die' crying too. Then, already being deep into the occult, I turned to full on 'goddess worship' (I missed and needed a 'mom'). Looking back, if it had not been for that very dark time, I realize I would not be where I am today. I would not have taken the job I did where I met my wonderful Christian husband, I would not have the blessings that are my kids. All that.

Oh, yes, I know that God could have still managed to cross our paths so that we could still meet and arrive here...but I would not be who I am (the good, the bad and the ugly), without those valuable life lessons.

Again, thank you for sharing. It is wonderful to be able to look back (hindsight is 20/20) and see just how God did have His hand on us, even when we did not realize it.
