"Re: Douglas Henney's "Day counts and rapture timing""

Dear All:
I believe Doug has done an outstanding job of clarifying some of this mystery we know as "the timing of the rapture."  I had come to some similar conclusions which I discussed during the program last week.  But Doug went into much greater detail and I believe his conclusions are consistent with scripture.  I don't know if his work is the ONLY scenario that fits the facts, but with a rapidly closing window, there are precious few alternatives remaining.
One area that remained unclear was the idea of a 2-week Passover celebration.  Doug wrote:
From December 21, 2010 this takes us to May 13th, 2018, which is one week after the 70th week of Daniel ends.  I do not have a rationale for this one week difference.  I read a blog contribution that mentioned the celebration of two weeks of Passover in 2018 but I have not found a scriptural foundation for this at this time.
Of relevance is the passage in 2 Chron. 30:21-23
So the children of Israel who were present at Jerusalem kept the Feast of Unleavened Bread seven days with great gladness; and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing to the LORD, accompanied by loud instruments.

And Hezekiah gave encouragement to all the Levites who taught the good knowledge of the LORD; and they ate throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings and making confession to the LORD God of their fathers.
Then the whole assembly agreed to keep the feast another seven days, and they kept it another seven days with gladness.
I have no trouble believing that the people remaining will be so profoundly grateful to have survived that they will want to celebrate an extra week.  "Gladness" will be an understatement.
If we are (finally!) correct, then those left behind can anticipate a future very close to the following:
    Rapture event (REAL soon!)
Massive earthquake (do lunar eclipses ever cause earthquakes?)
Declaration of a Palestinian state (probably conforming to 1967 borders) essentially pitting Israel against the rest of the world
Psalm 83 war - say "sayonara" to Damascus and most of Israel's near-neighbors
A short period of peace in Israel
Gog-Magog war (this event must be at least 7 years from the end, as the weapons are burned for seven years - early May 2011)
    Beginning of Daniel's 70th Week - June 2011
    Rebuilding of the Temple
Appearance of the two witnesses - Fall Feasts 2011 - 1260-day ministry begins
Abomination of Desolation and escape from Jerusalem - March 2014
Death of the Two Witnesses - Passover 2015
Lots of REALLY bad stuff as God's wrath is poured out
Return of Christ and Battle of Armageddon (September 2017)
    End of Daniel's 70th week - May 2018
Now I promised Rexella that I wouldn't be setting any more dates ... but I'm not making any long or short-term commitments, if you get my drift.
I hope (and expect!) to see you all soon.   VERY soon!
