"To Amanda: Regarding Prayer"
Dear Amanda,
You could possibly be right
about 2011 and the spring as the Song of Solomon says to arise my love
and come away with me in the Spring (I am summarizing).
Anyways
I believe your mother is acting this way because she made your father a
god. She has put him above everyone else and she should have put
the Lord first so that she could stand up to him and say that his
behavior is totally unacceptable. Then she should have left
him for what he was causing and should have stood up for you and your
daughter. A mother who is thinking correctly would be like a
ferocious tiger to anyone who gets in the way of hurting her babies.
Now
that her god is gone, it has been replaced with alcohol and
prescription medications. You need to stand up to her and
rip these idols from her and tell her to make a choice between Jesus
Christ or her husband and alcohol.
Next, you need to go
to your father and ask him the same thing and ask him if his god of
lust has fulfilled him yet. And is he willing to repent and make
Jesus the Lord of his life.
Only when these two can give up their idols can Jesus renew their marriage.
But
who knows what kind of damage this has done to your daughter and you
need to tell them that Jesus is coming and if they want to die in their
sins, keep going on this way but you and your daughter will have
nothing to do with them.
I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but
you do not need this kind of sin in your life so close to the
rapture. You can confront them, then leave and pray and
fast for them. If you stay too close to this drama you may not be
able to watch for the Lord as you would if everything was peaceful.
It is time to choose or be left behind.
