"Forecasters keep eye on looming 'Solar Max'"
Hey John and all Doves,
First time
poster here. I really enjoy your site! I’ve been reading it
since I first found it back in October of this year.
Anyway, I came across this article on yahoo: “Forecasters keep
eye on looming ‘Solar Max’
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20101229/sc_afp/sciencespacesuntelecoms
The
following quote from the article caught my eye: “In 2005, X-rays
from a solar storm disrupted satellite-to-ground communications and GPS
signals for about 10 minutes.”
This immediately made me think of
Revelation 8:1 (NIV) : “When he opened the seventh seal, there was
silence in heaven for about half an hour.”
I’m not sure if it
means anything or not, but I thought it was interesting. I always
thought that this verse meant actual silence in heaven with the angels
and everyone else, but I know that sometimes ‘heaven’ can be
interpreted in scripture as the sky/atmosphere, is that the case
here? I don’t know for sure, but it’s an interesting
thought.
These are exciting times!
Love In Christ,
Matt
