Dear Doves, Winds delayed the arrival of the Pilgrims to the New World. It is celebrated December 21st every year
 because of the Pilgrims' landing  which eventually occurred on December 21, 1620. 

It's called Forefather's Day in the USA- recognizing the landing at Plymouth Rock.
