"Reply to Firecharger - Amen!"

I enjoyed your post of the blood red moon and especially the latter part of it, the short sermon. I loved it because you spoke truth as it relates to the word of God. I appreciate when one backs up what they say with scripture and your personal experiences as well.
I also thought it was great to see you elude to Acts 2:38; this is the new testament plan of salvation! Repentance is the critical first step because Jesus said in Luke 13:3, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
I received the Holy Ghost in August of 2008. Like you said, you know when you receive it; it changes you and yes, it convicts you when you are messing up. I gave up a whole lot of worldly things too and I too thought I was saved before. The Holy Ghost does make you holy and righteous unless you choose to quench it, backslide, etc. and turn back to the world.
I would like to add just a couple of other things to my experience of receiving the Holy Ghost. First, I felt the fire inside and secondly, I had stammering lips and spoke in tongues.
Matthew 3:11  I (John the Baptist) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me (Jesus) is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
Isaiah 28:11  For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.  (Note: I believe the rest is salvation and the refreshing is the Holy Ghost; Isaiah 30:15 & Acts 3:19)
Mark 16:17  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Acts 2:4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 10:45  And they of the circumcision (Jews) which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God.
Acts 19:5  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6  And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
God Bless,
