Hi, Daughter of Zion!

I disagree with you that animals don’t have souls/spirits/the Spirit of Elohim.  Ecclesiastes, for one, in chapter 3, verses 19-21, tell us:

Man's fate is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath [ruach, Spirit of Elohim]; man has no advantage over the animal. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the spirit of man rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?"

Not to mention the fact that most (if not all) animals know the difference between right and wrong.  Our dogs do, I can guarantee you they do!  When we tell them, it’s unacceptable for them to poop in the house, they wait the 10 hours we are away from home before they go to the bathroom, and they were used to Richard being home with them all the time before he went back to work!

Nor do I think the Lord would be cold and take Christians at the Rapture, but leave their beloved pets to fend for themselves when He takes them to be with Him.  But yet non-Christians would be here to take care of their pets?  Surely that can’t make sense to us, knowing the heart of the Lord and His love for all His creation, but especially for those who belong to them?

A soul is the animation of a carcass.  As in Genesis 2:7:

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Apparently, since animals are also animated, He must breathe His Spirit into them, or they wouldn’t live.  When He takes back His Spirit, life leaves them, and all other creatures who have life in them.

And if eternity with the Lord is supposed to be nothing but extreme happiness, how could a cowboy be happy without his horses and cows?  How could a vet be happy with no animals around?  How could an avid bird watcher be happy with no birds around?  And how could those of us who love our pets like children, be happy without them there?  If we would be happier with our earthly pets there, I’ve no doubt we will have them there.

Love from your sister in Yahshua!

Peggy
