"TO Dawn Dominick & TO Sharon Kaiser - Horses in Heaven..."

Hi, precious sisters!

It’s ironic to me that just Sunday, I was talking to Richard about my desire to ride horses again when we cross to the Other Side!  I haven’t ridden horses since I was 16 years old, and was thrown from him in Galveston.  It scared the peejabbers out of me, so ever since that time, I’ve been scared to ride them.  But then again, after I had the bad auto accident when my 28-year-old was 3 months old, I didn’t drive for 27 years; now I drive 110 miles per day going to/from work, with no fear whatsoever… and that’s after plowing my Neon into a big van while going 65 mph on the freeway in 2006!

Also, Richard has driven Harleys since he was 13 years old; I had never ridden before I met him.  I wanted to ride with him SO badly, since he loved it so much.  So I prayed day in and day out.  Then the weekend before my 45th BD, some biker friends who owned a biker bar threw a BD party for me there.  Richard was unable to work at the time, so he drove the bike to the bar, and I asked my best friend if she would drop me off at the bar after work that day, which she did.  Even though it was the middle of December, in Houston that night it was 62º and humid as could be!  So I wore short sleeves and my jeans to the party.  They had opened up the garage doors (the bar was created from a 4-car garage with an addition) by the pool tables, and my GFs and I were drinking, smoking, and playing pool (I was a pool fanatic!!!).  About 7:30, a cold spell blew through… it dropped to 28º and began sleeting!  At midnight, they closed the bar, and the four of us played pool until about 1:30 AM.  Then came time to go home.  I told Bobby, “I don’t have any way to get home, what can I do?”  He said, “Ride the bike with Richard; Mary & I will follow you guys home!”  I said, “OK”, bundled up, hopped on the back of our hardtail sportster, which had no front brakes and no shocks, and rode home in the sleet!  I figured if I could ride home in the sleet on that, I could ride any bike, anywhere, any time!  From then on, I rode every Harley we had, and in fact, for 1.5 years, he took me to/from work every day, and back and forth everywhere we went, including bar-hopping with our biker buddies, because we had no running vehicles except the bike!  Here’s the sportster I learned to ride on, parked in one of our favorite biker bars from back then:

So I’ve no doubt that I will hop right on a horse and ride like the wind on the Other Side, and love every minute of it!

Love from your sister in Yahshua!
