"Cracking the Encryption of Rev 13:18"

Rev 13:18  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

Since the movie theater release of National Treasure:  Book of Secrets was on Dec 21, 2007, as I was looking at this scripture around midnight on Dec 22, 2007, it appeared to be a cipher, with the instructions to crack its code.  We have mostly focused on the 666, and ignored all the other pieces.

Here is wisdom.

First you must follow the instructions:

2163g = of good report

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G2163

Phl 4:8 ¶ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report [2163g]; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

Phl 4:9  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

This word, of good report, reminds us of the two spies who believed God about the promised land.  It is believing God over any report contrary to His Word.

The next word is:

2163h = appointed

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H02163

Ezr 10:14  Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed [2163h] times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

We can probably glean more about the appointed time from the scriptures, but I will move on:

Let him that hath understanding

2515g = seat

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G2515

This word is used of the exalted seat occupied by men of eminent rank or influence, as teachers and judges.  These are the seats which Christ overthrew when He cleansed the temple in Mat 21:12 and Mar 11:15.  These were the seats of them that sold doves.   Which means they were dealing with the poor.  What you see is the ones who were occupying these exalted seats, were those who shouldn’t be there because everything about them was fake.

Mat 23:2  Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat [2515g]:

Mat 23:3  All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, [that] observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Mat 23:4  For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay [them] on men's shoulders; but they [themselves] will not move them with one of their fingers.

Mat 23:5  But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

Mat 23:11  But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Mat 23:12  And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Mat 23:13  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

2515h = division

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H2515

This is about the courses of the priests that Josiah reestablished.

2Ch 35:5  And stand in the holy [place] according to the divisions [2515h] of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and [after] the division of the families of the Levites.

2Ch 35:6  So kill the passover, and sanctify yourselves, and prepare your brethren, that [they] may do according to the word of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

2Ch 35:7 ¶ And Josiah gave to the people, of the flock, lambs and kids, all for the passover offerings, for all that were present, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these [were] of the king's substance.

What we will see, is that the 30,300th verse in the bible will point back to the thought about the seats:

http://www.biblewheel.com/Gr/GR_Database.asp?SearchBy_VerseNumber=30300

Jam 2:6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

Count the number of the beast

This can even be broken down even further as Count, the number, of the beast.   Any who wish to dig deeper, by all means, have at it.

4586g = honest, honorable

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G4586

Second reference:

Phl 4:8 ¶ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest [4586g], whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

Also translated grave, as in honorable, in 1 Tim 3:8,11, and Titus 2:2.   I believe God wants us to rightly observe good honest character.

4586h = Mehunims

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H4586

2Ch 26:3  Sixteen years old [was] Uzziah when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and two years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also [was] Jecoliah of Jerusalem. 2Ch 26:7  And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians that dwelt in Gurbaal, and the Mehunims [4586h].

I don’t know the significance if any of the Mehunims.  However, the verse is speaking of King Uzziah, and when you pair his age and the length of his reign, we are again pointed to a scripture:

1652g = miserable

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G1652

Rev 3:17  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable [1652g], and poor, and blind, and naked:

1652h = cause rain

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H1652

Jer 14:22  Are there [any] among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain [1652h]? or can the heavens give showers? [art] not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these [things].

In the context that this is written, it is Jeremiah’s plea that God will not break His covenant, and disgrace the throne of His glory.  But, in the context of an indictment against those who are falsely occupying seats that make them “look” good, the question is, Who is opening up the Heavens or closing them?

Mat 23:13  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in [yourselves], neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

for it is the number of a man

2559g = entreat evil, vex, hurt

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G2559

Act 7:19  The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated [2559g] our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

Act 7:20  In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months:

We have a reference to the oppression in Egypt and the another reference to Moses, the deliverer, who was hid in his father’s house three months.  This is key to understanding the parable of the leaven hidden in three measures of meal.

We see the thought of hiddenness also carried on by the Hebrew Strong’s:

2559h = withdrawn

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H02559

Sgs 5:6 I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn [2559h] himself, [and] was gone: my soul failed when he spake: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.

Jer 31:22 How long wilt thou go about [2559h], O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.

This woman is actually a mystery who is yet to be revealed.  She is also referred to as the King’s daughter of Psa 45:13, and a coinheritor of the birthright passed down from Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph.  Her name in the spirit is Hadassah [1919h] which is hidden in the reference of Elisha, the Grace given to Lot, the pillar of witness in Egypt, etc.

and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.

Out of everything in this study, the reference to 2368 was the most shocking and completely unexpected.  On the surface, it looks like the reference to Jesus Christ himself since the Greek Gematria for Jesus Christ is 2368.  In fact, looking in the Strong’s does not help.

2368g = incense

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G2368

It refers to the prayers of the saints, and also specifically the time that Zacharias was visited by the angel to announce John the Baptist.

2368h = signet

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H2368

The first reference is the signet given by Judah to Tamar, of which the first child born was Pherez, and his twin was Zarah.  The last reference is of Zerubbabel who will be made into a signet.

Hag 2:21  Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

Hag 2:22  And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

Hag 2:23  In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet [2368h]: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

2368 is also the last four digits of the phone number to call for Ghost Busters.  Who you gonna call?

What I found when I dug deeper, things were not as it seemed from the surface.

and his number [is] =1702

1702g = mock

http://cf.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=G1702

When someone is being mocked, it is the most obvious form of someone acting superficially about another to make that person appear silly or ridiculous.   It would be a wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing, but prancing about in obvious mockery.

Six hundred threescore [and] six

666g = absence

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G666

Phl 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence [666g], work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Here again is a picture of hiddenness.  The mockery of the absence of Christ is a sign of the end times.

2Pe 3:3  Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

2Pe 3:4  And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.

666h = ashes

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H0666

Here again is a picture of hiddenness in the form of disguise.

1Ki 20:38 So the prophet departed, and waited for the king by the way, and disguised himself with ashes [666h] upon his face.

1Ki 20:41 And he hasted, and took the ashes [666h] away from his face; and the king of Israel discerned him that he [was] of the prophets.

Are you seeing the picture?  Actually two pictures immerge because you cannot have one without the other.

The false prophet will appear on the surface to be LIKE Jesus Christ.   Perhaps he will sport all the worldly riches, the fine clothes, the recognition.  He will gain the whole world so to speak.  He will portray himself as having the heart of God.  He will say, God loves everybody and there is no need for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.   He will be like Elijah.  In fact, he will have the anointing of Elijah, but only as a mask for the heart of a beast.

On the other hand, the other picture is actually one of disguise as well, but only as least in the Kingdom.  For in the least, Jesus will hide peering through the eyes of the poor in spirit.   How many of us does Jesus dwell in fully?  If we still have room for more of Jesus in us, then we are not yet full of His presence reigning in us, His promise land.

Blessings,
