"The Ashes of Bethlehem... Rachel's travail..."

As we journey back to the place of Jacob’s mourning we see a glimpse of the beauty that came from the ashes of his mourning.

Gen 35:16 ¶ And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour.

Gen 35:17  And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.

Gen 35:18  And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Benoni: but his father called him Benjamin.

Gen 35:19  And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which [is] Bethlehem.

Ephrath means ashes.

Ephrath is the mother of Salma/Salmon, the father of Boaz and also Bethlehem his brother.

1Ch 2:11  And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

1Ch 2:50 ¶ These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjathjearim,

1Ch 2:51  Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Bethgader.

From the ashes of Ephrath and Jacob’s mourning comes a:

3516g = child, babe

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=G3516&Version=KJV&sf=2

Interestingly, the month of Tibet is also associated with the:

3516h = liver

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H3516&version=KJV

They talked about the liver in our Messianic church on Sunday.  Of course the liver is the cleanser of the blood.  Life is in the blood.  You cannot LIVE without a LIVER inside you.

3519h = glory

http://cf.blb.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?strongs=H3519&version=KJV

The beauty from ashes is the glory that came from Bethlehem.

Blessings,
