Prayerfully this will help someone.  The majority interpretation among the Reformers were that the Locusts in Revelation represented the Moslem Hordes that swept through Europe, devouring by the sword, everything in their path.

Also note that September 11th was when a decisive battle was won against great odds, turning this horde away from sweeping through all of Europe.  Many historians credit this battle on September 11th, 1565, as saving Western Civilization.  A small band of European Knights and the population of Malta defeated the Ottoman Turks on this day.
 
We are in the 443rd year since this event.  It has been thought that the date September 11th was chosen for the destruction of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and possibly even the White House and Congress, in 2001 because of this event in 1565.
 
Note that next year after Sept. 11th will bring us into the 444th year following this event.  Note that this December 11th will have been the 75th, (5 x 5 x 3 with a combination (marriage) of 5 and 5 for Bride and 3 for Trinity?) month since September 11, 2001.
