Each day we are being subjected to tough new laws.

Sometimes  I become panicky and depressed thinking how long before the Rapture would take place.  I just hate the idea of being trapped again; for you see, I came from a war-torn country (Sri Lanka) and I have gone through the gimmicks of being stopped and searched on the road side, all because by the quirk of destiny you belong to a wrong ethnic minority.  I have ducked enough shelling and bombing and all that; I have lost a family member because of war.  I could not attend my father’s funeral because it was not safe for me and my child to travel to our home town, further more when we received the news the funeral was already over.  To this day I have no closure over my Dad’s passing away.

I have seen friends taken for ‘questioning’ and then finding the charred remains of them.  I have first hand witnessed the carnage and destruction brought about by the army as well as the opposing sides.  I have endured without decent running water and electricity in the heat 40C, with a little child for days.   We suffered under the Sri Lankan army, and then we looked to the Indian army as our liberators, who came under the Peace Pact as ‘peace keeping force’.  It hardly worked out that way, in no time they were turning against an already down-trodden minority, and then we had to survive their atrocities as well .

Always living in fear, not knowing from one minute to another whether we would be safe ...... fear becomes your constant companion.  I came to Australia in ’88, thinking I have found the ultimate paradise, and to see that nowhere in the world is safe now.

You do feel the noose is tightening.  Most countries are turning into Nanny/Police state.  You can see the individual freedom being eroded away. Very recently we had a change of govt, and most people were euphoric about a change after 12 yrs under the same party, but things rarely change much!  No matter who comes to power the policies are relentlessly carried out.

One thing we have to remember is that our Lord is a last -minute -God.  He never parted the Red Sea until the Egyptian army was at the tail of the Israelites. They were actually between a rock and a hard place- Red Sea in the front and the army in the rear.  Our God is a last minute God.  We just have to be patient.  I don’t claim to know everything, but the bride cannot be bloodied too much before she meets her Bridegroom, hence before the hour of trial the Lord will take us to be with Him.  I had a vivid dream as late as the 9th May of this year (tomorrow, I would not be saying ‘this year’ :) and in it the Lord showed that the Rapture will be soon.  It is almost 8 months now, but sometimes the Lord’s timing  and our timing  can be a little different!
 
We know that the financial market is in turmoil.  Housing market is crashing in US.  As the saying goes, when America sneezes, the whole world catches the cold.  UK too is starting to experience some difficulty in that area.  Over here in Australia, until very recently they ‘assured’ us all that the economy was ‘fine’, and yet in no time they started to say that, most householders have over stretched their budget by borrowing too much; and we see daily the foreclosures signs are sprouting in Sydney and even in Brisbane it is catching on.  The Financial bankers have only just put a lid on an explosive situation by temporarily pumping some money.  The domino is ready to collapse.  If you ask me, they too are waiting for the Rapture before they collapse the market.

The Bird flu/avian flu is spreading its wings over all corners of the world.  Indonesia is having it and they are actually at our doorstep.  Ebola is ravaging Nigeria, and all sorts of horrific sickness are spreading around.  But we have to wait for the pandemic to come through the Red Horse, to wreak havoc.  For the Red Horse to come, the White Horse must come, before the White Horse comes the Rapture has to take place. So we are actually at the beginning of the birth pains, but not really in the 7 yrs.  It can’t be too long.   Even so come Lord Jesus!
