Dear Paul and other Doves,

Paul, I really enjoyed reading your post from yesterday.  In fact, I see it as truly sound advice and; I say this from a Biblical standpoint.  Yesterday, as I was reading some of the posts pertaining to “OSAS” and of the Holy Spirit; a verse in scripture came to mind.

It isn’t a surprising thing that this verse should come to mind as it is my daily hearts prayer.  Nonetheless, it seems fitting that it should be mentioned.

Luke 21: 36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

If it is our hearts daily prayer to be accounted worthy; we are going to be working out our own salvation with all fear and trembling.  This isn’t to say that we are saved by our works lest any should boast.  But, as it is said in James; faith without works is dead.  Therefore, if we are praying daily to be accounted worthy and it truly is our hearts desire; we’re going to find ourselves prepared in all things.  Why?  This is because; we are going to be studying the Word of God, and earnestly trying to place those things that we have learned, into our lives fully.  We’re saved when we ask Christ into our hearts and lives, and we work out our salvation when we study His Word, apply it to our lives fully (complete submission to the Holy Spirit) and follow His commandments.

These were just some of the things that were crossing my mind and that I felt guided by the Spirit to say.  Thank you for striving to be a servant unto the Most High…

Trusting in Him,

Roger Stillwell
