On the subject of "facial hardware" - sticking rings in the lip, piercing the nose multiple times, eyebrows, etc, etc. - I believe it is a sign of the times and Christians who do so are just taking part in a worldly  display that God never intended them to participate in. It is an attention-seeking display - a form of saying "look at me- here I am - I'm different -" uh-huh - yeah, you sure are. You got what you wanted and made your point.
 
Well, like it or not, those piercings are a sign of bondage. The way that a slave was marked in the days of the Bible & before was to pierce their ear with an awl - it was a symbol of bondage. People who want to pierce every tangible body part ad nauseum, are giving an unspoken message whether they realize it or not - they are in a form of bondage. They may be saved and born again, but they are still giving out gross vibes. What WAS that Jesus said about the man (er was that a dog?) returning to his own vomit and the woman who is saved and then returns to wallowing in the mud --? And a beautiful woman without DISCRETION was like a sow with a jewel in it's SNOUT - uh-huh - seen very many women lately wearing Jewels in their "snout"? I have.  Well, same goes for men...there are a lot of men running around out there with no discretion as well. If you want a bull to follow behind you without struggle - you stick a RING in its nose and pull it along... Women are to dress discreetly, so are men. At the same time, I do not believe men and women are to swathe their entire bodies head to toe in BLACK garments. Black clothing symbolizes death.
 
Adults KNOW what is decent and what is not because God also gave us a CONSCIENCE, which unfortunately many people ignore until they have seared it!  Every woman who has ever posed in the raw (or half-way naked) for profit or for any other reason --- KNOWS in her innermost heart it is wrong, because God gave her a conscience which tells her it is WRONG. And EVERY man who lusts after such women commit adultery in their HEART WITH HER!  All those women running around half-dressed who think they are innocent, sweet and sinless, boy are they in for a shock!  And all the men oogling them behind closed doors that think they are not being seen - well THEY ARE being seen. And sometimes it isn't even behind closed doors! Seen any football games with racy cheerleaders lately? Some of them are doing dance gigs that used to be seen in the 20's and 30's ONLY behind closed doors and they called it burlesque or "bawdy." Course, then you had movies come out like "Dirty Dancing"  and "Grease" to teach our young people that it's fine to jiggle around in front of each other half-dressed like cattle in heat. So now they call it "ART" and the kids think they are doing something exciting and great - just ASK them, they'll tell ya!
 
Ever notice how not only our music, but dancing and everything else for that matter has been degenerating for years? Yep - it's all going to POT just like God predicted. We are seeing things on TV that used to be considered x-rated 20 years ago - and now they are calling it R-rated. Pretty soon, the R-rated movies will be considered General Audience movies. Men and women, when left to their OWN devices never go UP (like Darwin taught) - they go DOWN, they degenerate without God. Too bad that Darwin has already found that out, cause' he certainly is NOT evolving into a "higher" creature where he is at right now - you can bet your life on that!
 
It takes an act of God to bring us out of the muck and mire - ya know - down there under the mud? That's where you find the pearls at. Well, He found His Pearl and gave a GREAT price for it. He paid for it with His own blood. Blood that should not be trampled underfoot. For even every IDLE word that is spoken will have to be accounted for. If God made the ear (and He did!), He sure ain't deaf, and if He made the eye (and He did!), He sure ain't blind - though there are a whole heck-of-a-lotta people out there who wish He were!
 
Love not the world, nor the things of the world. Just because the "world" is getting ready to go into the WORST bondage they have ever experienced, under the Mark of the Beast, (that's why you see all the piercings folks - they are getting ready for the ULTIMATE chains!) there is NO excuse for Christians to be following right along with them! We are not in darkness - we are in light. Chains and piercings belong in the dark - not in the light. God brought us OUT of bondage - don't put yourself back in it!
