Hi all,
I sent the following letter to World Net Daily because I'm unhappy that Governor Huckabee made and apology for his statement about the LDS Church teaching that Jesus and Satan being spirit brothers. It's not necessarily the kind of thing that you post to your site, but I would like for Christians to read something on this subject that isn't coming from the press. Here it is.
Hi guys,
Perhaps you've had your fill of letters on this subject, but I'm sending this anyway.
I'm 60 years old, old enough to remember when the Mormon Church openly taught that the virgin Mary became pregnant through sexual intercourse with God the Father, who, as an exalted man, came to earth for the evening date with Mary.Raised in a home where both father and mother were staunch LDS, my life was LDS. I held both priesthoods, served a two year mission in South America, married in the temple, was a veil worker in the temple and raised my faimily to be good little LDS boys and girls. I know whereof I speak.
In LDS Seminary, a part of High School in LDS communities, we were always taught that Jesus and Satan were spirit brothers; that they were both sired by the same father, Elohim, the guy the LDS Church calls God the Father. They were two spirit sons of the same father. In Mormonism, that's what you get when two imortal, exalted beings have sex; a spirit baby. And, Jesus was one such baby, and Lucifer was another. They may have had different mothers because Mormon teaching is that God the Father has many wives; He is a polygamist. In Mormonism, you have to be a polygamist to become a God.
It's too bad that governor Huchabee felt that he needed to apologize to Mr Romney for the statement he (Huckabee) had made concerning this radical belief of Mormonism. He was correct in his assumption, and if the Mormon Church had any character at all, they would stand up and admit that they teach that Jesus and Satan are spirit sons of the same father, instead of sending in the spin-folks to make it look otherwise.
Thanks for your time;
Randy Larson
