I would like to comment on Loleehta's post yesterday on the auctioning of the Magna Carta. From the above link ----"It's the great-great-great-grandfather of some of the great documents -- at least in America -- of freedom, such as the declaration of independence, the constitution or the bill of rights," he told AFP ahead of the auction.
"All of these have a common ancestor, which is Magna Carta."
The manuscript is the only one of 17 remaining examples ever likely to be sold. Most of the rest belong to Britain's national archives, cathedrals or universities while the only other copy outside Britain belongs to Australia.
The manuscript, most likely made of sheepskin, enshrined the rule of law in England at a time of disagreements between King John and the English barons. It was first issued in 1215 and confirmed as English law in 1297.
Redden described the document, which required the king to accept that he was bound by law in the same way as his subjects, as "the first rung on the ladder to freedom" and "a talisman of liberty."
As well as enshrining the concept that no man is above the law, the document also establishes the right to a speedy trial by a jury of one's peers.
"It's actually amazing that this has come to auction, it's quite remarkable. It's the only time Magna Carta has ever been sold at auction and it's quite possibly the only time it ever will be," Redden explained.
I have been journaling answered prayer and promises God has been giving me since 1994.On December 18, I sent in some things the Lord had shown me concerning the nation's largest tree being damaged the week after Annapolis, thereby now causing the 700 + year old Sitka Spruce tree to die. From a link to the blog I posted on December 18,In a state of big trees, the Sitka spruce at Klootchy Creek County Park is the granddaddy of them all.
At 206 feet tall (it was 216 feet until a recent lightning storm), this 750-year-old giant holds the title of Oregon's biggest tree. Once named the nation's largest Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis), it now is considered co-champion with a tree in Washington's Olympic Peninsula, according to Phyllis Reynolds, author of "Trees of Greater Portland" and a member of the Heritage Tree Program committee. She suspects the Oregon Sitka got knocked down a notch after its run-in with lightning took 10 feet off the top.
Nevertheless, that's one big tree. With a circumference of 56 feet, it would take nine 6-foot-tall men lying head-to-foot to circle its trunk. In fact, though trees need to have historical significance to get heritage designation, the Sitka made the list solely on size and age. "You don't find Sitkas this old," Reynolds said. "Someone must have recognized that it was important and kept it around."
The first tree to be named an Oregon Heritage Tree in 1997, the Klootchy Creek Sitka sprouted a few decades after the Magna Carta was signed in 1215. Today, approximately 95,000 visitors pull their cars off the highway every year to gaze up at this enormous remnant of the ancient rain forests of the Pacific Northwest.
When I first read this, and doing research to document all these things in my journal, I noticed the comment about the Magna Carta, and looked up online its significance.

I actually printed up this article and was going to enter it in my journal along with the revelation God had given me about "The Grandpa Tree". I later decided against it, as I do not want anything of the flesh [my own thoughts] entered in this journal, but that it would someday be a living testimony to our children of God's works and faithfulness to us, so I threw the wikipedia article of the Magna Carta away.
After reading Loleehta's post yesterday, I am now certain that this is part of the message from God.
From wikipedia:
Magna Carta was originally written because of disagreements among Pope Innocent III, King John and the English barons about the rights of the King. Magna Carta required the king to renounce certain rights, respect certain legal procedures and accept that his will could be bound by the law.
I believe our nations' actions against the only real democracy the Middle East has known [little Israel], it is a sign that we have now asserted "our will" against the very freedom of government that our nation was built upon. The NAU, the betrayal of Israel, etc. are all signs that our great nation built on freedom and justice for all came down at Annapolis, and "The Grandpa Tree" dying within the week after the Annapolis Conference is the SIGN.
Also note that this originally came from ENGLAND. The "plan" entails the rise of the Revived Roman Empire [the EU] and our freedoms will "go the way" of coming "prince" very soon.
An OMINOUS sign....the auctioning of the Magna Carta is confirmation that this was something the Lord wanted me to note afterall.
