Hhamlet, I believe Jesus is descended from Perez, one of the twins born
to Judah and the widow of Judah's son, Tamar.  You remember that
Judah's son died, leaving Tamar without children, and it was the duty
of the family to find her a husband to "raise up children", but they
did not.  So, she seduced Judah by pretending to be a prostitute by the
side of the road, and she got pregnant with Perez and his brother.
Judah later married her, making the twins legitimate.

Jesus showed us the way, that ancestors are not very important, that
pure blood lines are not very important, that the spiritual bond to him
is our true birthright.  He was descended from a "prostitute", and at
least two foreign women, Ruth and Rehab (although all of these women
were made "legitimate" or became Jewish through conversion and
marriage).

Yes I know about those European behind-the scenes boys and girls,
including the Habsburgs.  They do have big ideas.  Why the rest of the
people put up with such I don't know.
