Tony, you write that Charles claims to be of Jesus' bloodline.

I think--but I don't know--that Charles claims to be descended from
King David of Judah, no?  As far as I know--but I don't know for
sure--the royal family of Britain, and hence most royal families by
marriage, claim descent through Zedekiah's daughter Tia Tephi, who
escaped first to Egypt, with Jeremiah and Baruch, and then to Ireland,
where she was the wife of a king.  There are other more shadowy
descendencies, and of course the royal family probably does indeed
descend from David on many lines, as do all European and British
royalty.  And that descent comes down to many of us in America, through
Scottish and other lineages.

But I have not heard the royals saying they are directly descended from
Jesus Himself.  We have all heard the claims of the Da Vinci Code and
its predecessor.  But I believe those claims are fiction, based on some
heavy duty wishful thinking of some royal watchers.  Maybe secretly the
royals think they are descended from Jesus.  But I have not heard it
publicly claimed by them.

Not that I am a royalist.  No way.  Just like to keep that straight.
